Giving Time, Impacting Lives
Volunteers are an essential part of Williamson Health. A caring smile, compassionate heart, and willingness to serve are some of the things that we look for in volunteers. By sharing their time and talents, volunteers enhance the care we provide to our patients and visitors.
Please note that you must be at least 16 years old to volunteer.
Listed below are some of the areas that volunteers serve:
- Emergency Department
- Gift Shop
- Meeter/Greeter at entrances
- Transport patients by wheelchair
How to apply to be a volunteer:
Complete the online volunteer application.
Both youth and adult applicants are chosen based on application, interview and availability. Due to the time invested in orienting and training new volunteers, we require a minimum commitment of five months or 50 hours of service. Of course, we hope that you enjoy volunteering so much that you will want to continue your service beyond the minimum requirements!
For more information about volunteering, contact Stephanie Wracher, Williamson Health Volunteer Services Manager at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Volunteers aged 16-18 can participate in our junior volunteer program, which provides the opportunity to see first hand various career options in the health care setting while also serving patients and families. Students can begin volunteering in January (apply by Dec. 1), June (apply by April 1) or September (apply by July 1).
