Angie Tillman Memorial Scholarship
Provided by Williamson Health's Volunteer Auxiliary, the Angie Tillman Nursing Scholarship provides scholarships for high school students pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree. One student will receive a scholarship totaling $10,000. The recipient will receive $2,500 each year for four years, as long as he or she maintains academic and eligibility requirements.
Eligibility criteria:
Applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a graduating high school senior
- Be one of the following:
- A Williamson County resident, OR
- A dependent of a Williamson Health employee, OR
- A Williamson Health volunteer
- Have a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.5
- Intend to enroll as a full-time student at an accredited college or university in Tennessee to pursue a BSN degree
Craig Ferrell Memorial Scholarship
The Craig Ferrell Memorial Scholarship honors the legacy of the late Craig Ferrell, M.D., founder of the Franklin Bone and Joint Clinic, orthopaedic surgeon at Williamson Medical Center, and longtime team physician for the United States Olympic equestrian and swimming teams. Dr. Ferrell was a pillar of the community, known for his service, generosity, and involvement in numerous charitable organizations. His vision and leadership paved the way for what is now Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee.
In partnership with the Williamson Health Foundation, Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee awards a $10,000 scholarship to a graduating high school senior in Williamson County who plans to pursue a degree in medicine, athletic training, physical therapy, occupational therapy, or other health-related fields, to honor his legacy. The selected recipient will receive $2,500 each semester they are enrolled in a health-related program. Proof of enrollment will be required prior to the start of each semester.
Elevating Excellence Scholarship
This scholarship is open to Williamson Health employees, their dependents, and Williamson Health Volunteers only. Applicants for this scholarship can be pursuing any type of degree in a health-related field.
Ike Brown Scholarship
The Ike Brown Scholarship is named in honor of Mr. Isaac "Ike" Brown, who served on Williamson Health's Board of Trustees for 24 years, the last six of which he was chairman. This scholarship is available to current medical students only and will pay $2,500 toward medical school tuition to the student selected to receive this scholarship.
Sally Doan Memorial Scholarship
Sally Doan was a patient at Williamson Medical Center over a decade ago. Her family has chosen to honor her memory through providing financial assistance to one college student pursuing a nursing degree each year through the Williamson Health Foundation. Please indicate your interest to be considered as a candidate by notating the Sally Doan Memorial Scholarship in your essay.
