Published: January 2, 2023
Williamson Medical Center (WMC) welcomed its first baby of 2023, Ayan Elsayed, Jan. 1, at 12:15 p.m. Elsayed is the son of Fadoua Fares and Hani Elsayed. He was born weighing seven pounds and three ounces at 20.25 inches long.
Elsayed was delivered by Dr. Nina Fredericks. In celebration of his arrival as the first baby of 2023, WMC and the WMC Foundation presented the family with a special gift basket.
“Today, as we enter 2023 with hopes for a fresh start and new beginnings, it was my absolute privilege to welcome this first child into the world,” said Dr. Fredericks. “I have treasured getting to know them during their pregnancy, and I am thrilled to cheer them on as they begin their journey as parents. Thank you to the staff on Williamson Medical Center’s Labor and Delivery floor, especially their nurse Erin Gleaves, who took amazing care of them. It is an honor to be a part of these special moments, and I cannot think of a better way to start the year.”
