Patient and Family Advisory Council

Williamson Health, the regional healthcare system serving Williamson County and surrounding communities, is now accepting applications for Patient and Family Advisory Council (PFAC) members. As a collaboration amongst patients, families, caregivers and staff, the PFAC is dedicated to building upon the compassionate, responsive care Williamson Health is committed to providing the communities it proudly serves. PFAC ensures that the voices of community members are amplified and valued, using their feedback to guide positive, meaningful change within the healthcare system.

“Williamson Health strives to be a valuable healthcare resource for the community, and the Patient and Family Advisory Council allows for community feedback and dialogue that helps us continue to provide high-quality care,” said Brad Bullock, M.D., Williamson Health Hospitalist Program Officer. “We highly encourage those who care about Williamson Health to apply to be a member and let your voice be heard so we can improve as an organization.”

The council meets quarterly and brings together a diverse group of individuals — including up to 10 community members who have recently received care at Williamson Health and up to 10 staff members. Each member serves a three-year term and contributes to thoughtful discussions around the patient and family experience within the healthcare system. By sharing stories, feedback and ideas, the PFAC helps identify best practices in patient-centered and family-centered care initiatives and explores ways to implement them across the organization.

By participating in improvement projects, council members play a vital role in shaping how care is delivered. Williamson Health intentionally established the council as a purposeful initiative to better serve patients through collaboration and honest conversations.

Current PFAC members reflect on their unique and meaningful experience:

  • “I am pleased that Williamson Medical appreciates my perspective as a former patient to improve the hospital experience for all patients and their families.” —Wayne Hampton, PFAC member.
  • “A great group of people to work with, sharing and solving issues in the hospital to help others.” —Karen Lillard, PFAC member.
  • “I feel it’s vitally important to support our medical staff, emergency personnel and all who give so much to our community. Doctors, nurses and the entire Williamson Health family deserve thanks and support, and I’m thrilled to be a little contributor to this outstanding hospital.” —Sue Mounts, PFAC member.
  • “I feel honored to have a voice and opinion on ways to improve patient care at Williamson.” —Erin G, PFAC member
