Williamson Health Chosen as Hometown Charity and Beneficiary of Darrell Waltrip Subaru’s Share the Love Event
Published: December 3, 2023
For the seventh consecutive year, Williamson Health has been chosen by Darrell Waltrip Subaru as a beneficiary of its Share the Love event. Now through January 2, 2024, the dealership will donate $250 from each Subaru purchased or leased to one of two local charities, including Williamson Health.
Since 2017, Darrell Waltrip Subaru has donated more than $95,000 from the Share the Love event to the local healthcare system by way of the Williamson Health Foundation, the organization’s charitable arm which supports the system through providing state-of-the-art medical equipment, funding capital projects, employee support and health outreach programs.
“We are grateful to once again be chosen by Darrell Waltrip Subaru as a hometown charity for this year’s Share the Love event,” said Leigh Williams, executive director of the Williamson Health Foundation. “The ongoing generosity of the Darrell Waltrip Automotive Group is greatly appreciated and its dedication to our care givers and continued support of our foundation and capital campaign allows Williamson Health to strengthen our ability to provide for the growing community.”
Last year, Darrell Waltrip Automotive Group signed on as the first corporate sponsor of the Williamson Health Foundation’s “More For You. Close To Home.” capital campaign. The campaign is helping to fund the largest renovation project in Williamson Medical Center’s history.
“Williamson Health is a staple in the community, and we are proud to be able to give back to our local healthcare system through our Share the Love event,” said Darrell Waltrip, President, Darrell Waltrip Automotive Group. “As a long-term champion of Williamson Health, we appreciate the health system’s dedication to providing high quality medical care in our community, and we are committed to supporting that mission.” With every new Subaru purchased or leased, Subaru will donate $250 to the purchaser’s choice of designated charities. Darrell Waltrip Subaru will also donate a minimum of $75 in total to selected beneficiaries, including Williamson Health for each sold or leased vehicle. Additionally, for every Subaru vehicle routine service visit during the Share the Love Event, Darrell Waltrip Subaru will donate $5 to designated Hometown charities November 16 through January 2.
