Phillips, Mathews Headline First Panel in Series Focusing on Women’s Health

Two Williamson Health professionals discussed the causes of disrupted sleep and how to attain a better diet during a women’s health panel on Wednesday, June 4.
About 45 women attended the panel at The Sapphire Suite women’s coworking space in Franklin. The Jennings Circle, a branch of the Williamson Health Foundation, hosted the event, with Sapphire Suite founder Tammie Osborne moderating.
The event kicked off the foundation’s panel discussion series “Thrive: A Journey to Better Living.” The series will focus on multiple aspects of women’s health, including menopause, mental health and reproductive health.
Pulmonologist and critical care physician Dr. Jordan Phillips discussed the causes of sleep apnea and how the disorder can affect other areas of health. Lisa Mathews, a registered dietitian nutritionist and personal trainer, described the do’s and don’ts of healthy eating and exercise.
