Athletic Training Program

Athletic Training Program
This collaboration between Williamson Health, Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee and Williamson County Schools provides dedicated athletic trainers for student-athletes in our community.
Comprehensive Care for Williamson County Student-Athletes
Made possible through the Foundation and your generosity, our medical team provides comprehensive care for student-athletes across all sports, working daily to help them achieve success both on and off the field.
All nine public Williamson County Schools and a number of private schools across the county participate in this program. Medical teams include a dedicated team physician from Bone and Joint Institute as well as a full-time certified athletic trainer and on-site EMS personnel at home competitions from Williamson Health.
What do our athletic trainers do?
Athletic trainers help guide student-athletes participating in the 23 varsity TSSAA sports through injury prevention, examination and diagnosis of an injury, treatment programs, rehabilitation of injuries and follow-up care after an injury takes place, and more.
Should the need arise, the athletic training team also has direct access to consultation with Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee's orthopaedic physicians and Williamson Health's wide range of specialists.
Our Trainers’ Impact
"Brittany is such a good trainer. When I tore my ACL during a high school soccer game she supported me throughout my recovery journey. She was there from when she carried me off the field up until I was cleared to play again 6 months later. She is truly the best!"
- Lauren Hiatt, Girls Soccer
"Brittany is a fantastic person and athletic trainer. Having the opportunity to work with Brittany and being taught by her has been one of the best experiences. It’s not just the trainer part that makes Brittany loved by everyone in the building, it’s her heart and belief in everyone. She shows up to every game, she learns everyone on the team, cheers for us when we do well and supports us when we don't. No matter what Brittany is at our side, and that is what makes her the best and most loved athletic trainer at our school."
- Olivia Rewers, Girls Lacrosse
Reaching Our Athletic Trainers
