The Williamson Health Foundation is celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center by hosting a community-wide stuffed animal toy drive. This drive is proudly sponsored by the Jennings Circle, friends of the Williamson Health Foundation, and will run from July 28 until August 10.

“We are so thankful to have been able to offer 10 years of outstanding pediatric services and look forward to many more,” said Carrie Lind, M.D., pediatric hospitalist and Chair of Pediatrics for the Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital Vanderbilt at Williamson Medical Center. “The equipment here is top-notch, and so is our staff. We can diagnose and resolve most cases that come through our doors, which is not only a convenience but also a reassurance for families in this community.”

The community is encouraged to donate new stuffed animals to any of the donation locations listed below or give $10 toward the purchase of a new stuffed animal for pediatric patients.

Donation locations include:

  • Bone & Joint Institute of Tennessee (Main Campus)
  • Fairview Recreation Center
  • Franklin Recreation Center
  • Longview (Spring Hill) Recreation Center
  • Nolensville Recreation Center
  • Williamson County Enrichment Center
  • Williamson Indoor Sports Complex in Brentwood
  • Williamson Medical Center Gift Shop
  • Simmons Bank (downtown Franklin location)

“We’re proud to support a variety of needs for Williamson Health, but this is an especially meaningful opportunity to partner with the community,” said Leigh Williams, Executive Director of the Williamson Health Foundation. “Stuffed animals bring great comfort to the children in our care and this drive is our way of giving back to the youngest members of our community. We hope the entire community supports these kids and their families by donating.”
