Bio
Dr. Saurabh Mehta is a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon who helps patients get back to doing what they love through expert care of the hand, wrist, elbow, and shoulder. From endoscopic carpal tunnel release to CT-guided shoulder replacement and tendon repair, Dr. Mehta combines advanced techniques with a compassionate, personalized approach to every case. He joined Bone and Joint Institute of Tennessee in October 2025.
Originally from Toledo, Ohio, Dr. Mehta earned his degree in Biomedical Engineering from Miami University and his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the Medical College of Wisconsin, where he was recognized multiple times for his outstanding performance, research, and dedication to patient care. He went on to complete fellowship training in Hand and Upper Extremity Surgery at the prestigious Indiana Hand to Shoulder Center in Indianapolis.
Dr. Mehta is an active member of the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS), the American Society for Surgery of the Hand (ASSH), and the American Association for Hand Surgery (AAHS).
When he’s not in the operating room, you’ll likely find Dr. Mehta outdoors—hiking, biking, or capturing scenic views through his camera lens. He and his wife are proud to call Nashville home.
